Because of two generous donors (the Royal Neighbors of America and Ed Caurduro), for many years we have been fortunate to have special funds set aside to assist with special medical treatment for dogs in training and dogs we have placed. These funds have criteria as to how they can be used, such as financial hardship and medically necessary procedures, and have been extremely helpful when emergencies, accidents, or serious illnesses necessitate treatment beyond normal veterinary care. Sometimes this treatment is a onetime situation; other times it may be for on-going treatment needed to maintain a dog’s health and ability to work and provide service, but it is always care and treatment beyond the norm.
If you would like to donate to help in these special situations, please indicate RNA Emergency Veterinary Fund (for Assistance Dogs) or the Ed Caurduro Veterinary Fund (for Career Change Dogs) on your donation.
Your support will help replenish these funds so we have the resources to help both clients whose dogs need special veterinary care and also the dogs in training who need more than the normal treatment and care to provide a long and happy life.
