In 1980 the Good Sam Club adopted DFD as its official charity.
- Good Sam members put on a variety of fund raising events and work very hard, using their energy and enthusiasm to help these unique dogs and special people
- Good Sam members conduct many in-home interviews of applicants for dogs, saving Dogs for the Deaf a considerable amount of time and money.
- As Good Sammers travel and meet new people, they spread the word of the wonderful service provided by Dogs for the Deaf. This has been an immense help in increasing our network of applicants and donors.
We want all Good Sam members to know how important their support is to the success of our mission of saving dogs and helping people and how much we appreciate their hard work. Good Sammers, with their dedication to helping others, are making a miraculous difference in the lives of both people and dogs by supporting Dogs for the Deaf, Inc.
Good Sam Spotlight
Good Sam Oregon has been a proud supporter of Dogs for the Deaf since 1980. As Dogs for the Deaf’s national media partner, Oregon Good Sam is helping to fund four informational videos in 2017! The first video will help communicate Hearing Dog pre-placement details to new clients, while the others will give Autism and Program Assistance information to prospective clients.
The Oregon Good Sam Club is affiliated with the Good Sam Club which is an international organization of recreational vehicles (RV). The Good Sam Club’s goal is to make RVing safer and more enjoyable and to save members money through club-endorsed benefits and services. Together they have donated nearly $5M since 1980 to Dogs for the Deaf’s programs.
