Schedule a Tour

We invite you to tour Dogs for the Deaf – one of the best kept secrets in southern Oregon…

FacilityCollage1_web_1Nestled in the beautiful Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, Dogs for the Deaf is an interesting, unique and inspiring place to visit. This is the headquarters of the oldest Hearing Dog training center in the world and the place where dogs are also trained for people with other disabilities and challenges (see Our Dogs to learn more).

We encourage both out of town visitors and local residents to learn more about our special work by taking a FREE tour of our facility. On the tour, you will watch an informative video and see one of the dogs demonstrate what a Hearing Dog does. You’ll also get to see our kennels and play yard. After your tour, be sure to browse through our gift shop and check out our special Dogs for the Deaf merchandise.

Tours of the Dogs for the Deaf training facility are offered Monday through Friday.

  • Tours begin at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. PST

Tours are scheduled every day, except for weekends and holidays, and take approximately 45 minutes. Dogs for the Deaf is accessible to people with disabilities.

*PLEASE NOTE: Tour times are subject to change due to special events. Dogs for the Deaf recommends calling ahead for scheduling and reservations. Dogs for the Deaf does not have a Licensed ASL Interpreter on site. If you need an interpreter for your tour, please call ahead and let us know. We will make arrangements to have one available for your scheduled tour time.

“For several years we have been bringing our out of town guests out for a tour of DFD. They always enjoy it. The friends we brought out had never heard of DFD. When we went to church, they then were telling others about what they had learned on their tour. Bless you for the good work you do.” ~ Ray & Maxine M., Oregon

“Thank you for the nice visit and tour we had in October.” ~ Theresa W., Arizona
